President's Budget Release

This past week saw the release of the President's budget request for FY 2025.  

This proposal would restore the expanded Child Tax Credit, lifting 3 million children out of poverty and cutting taxes by an average of $2,600 for 39 million low- and middle-income families that include 66 million children. It also proposes nearly doubling mandatory funding for the MaryLee Allen Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) program. And proposes the creation of a paid family and medical leave program that would provide up to 12 weeks of paid leave for workers in the event they need to take time off work to care for their health or the health of a loved one.
